BRANDED HEADSHOTS

2x4 foundation supports all women nationwide, regardless of race, religion or political affiliation, by partnering with grassroots non-profits that provide them with essential services.

When a start-up as important as this one requests a Branding/Headshot shoot, you pack up the studio and head to Brooklyn! Working closely with Buck Design to identify their color palette and web design elements, the team at 2x4 were ready to go. The chosen design colors were beautiful and the challenge was to try and make it all happen in-camera. That meant finding all the correct color backdrops (6) and organizing a portrait session that allowed all 5 Founding Members to be photographed in front of each color. Buck Design offered studio space in their Industry City, Brooklyn offices and we set up a green room with snacks! I treated the backdrops like film locations and had each person take their turn at one “location” before changing out to the next. By the time we finished each member had several shots in front of every color choice, and I was able to deliver a myriad of possibilities from which to build their website and include on printed material.
